Hello everyone, and welcome to FRIS Cards, which started as an idea by:
Fede & Lene.
We wanted to create a fantasy custom deck of playing cards related to the world of role-playing games back in 2018. Since then, we have planned and researched the subject until we finally moved in the right direction the following year.
But it was only during 2020 that we started a company and the huge work behind the scenes to get to the creation of our first deck of cards: The Elves Deck. It was a lot of work, and we researched what was written about the beautiful Elves in literature and then wrote our own stories and designed our magical Elven world.
It took two years for our project to be fully ready, and after the campaing funded on Kickstarter in 2022, we decided to expand the realm we created and thought of adding Pirates, a theme that was dear to both Lene and me. Having played computer games and been fascinated by the scenarios that the sea could offer, we came up with the beautiful deck of Secret of the Sea.
Lene took part in the creation and realisation of the second project as well, which was successfully funded in 2024, but then, for personal reasons, we decided to split. We discussed the third project, and she agreed with my vision, working further and expanding our world and followed up on the initial phases. But I then worked alone, chose the art style and wrote the lore behind the project.
Witches was a great success, funded in 2025, and Lene has loved the ideas I came up with. We occasionally talk and discuss related things, but I fully run things now, and I have more projects in the pipeline, including the re-launch of Magick, so stay tuned for more!
